If I weren't an Arsenal fan I'd be pressing for Wenger as the next England manager, because his achievements in dragging the club from the perils of relegation under the Rioch mini-era to multiple Premiership champions, double winners and now Champs League finalists at least match Ferguson's due to the disparity in spending power between the two clubs... then there's also the beautifully fluent style of play he's brought to the Premiership, that even fans of other teams (begrdgingly) admire.
With my Arsenal hat on, though, I hope he stays forever.

One final word on Eriksson: a mate of mine has a weekend job looking after the garden of the house next door to Sven's, in Chelsea. In the summer months, Sven is to be seen in his back garden, reading the papers in an England shirt.
I find that totally bizarre, rather false, and has led me to doubt his motiviations even more. If I became the next Sweden manager (and by your account of the current one, it wouldn't be such a bad thing), I certainly wouldn't wear a Sweden shirt while relaxing in my own home.
