I dont know what I was thinking playing at party poker, like the change in blind structure will change the fact that being ahead rarely equals winning a hand. Like Iceman's article suggested I went back and looked at all the times I have been all in just to check on the carniage. I have had some of the same BS playing PL O8 but since I dont have the O8 Pt yet I will just post my Nl hands.
Time 1- Busted by a 2 outter on the river by JJ vs AA had him all in on the turn and he caught on the river
I Lose $48.5, total pot $102.5
My chace to win Turn/ River 92%/ 96%
Time 2- Raised with JJ called by A8s he flopes a flush draw cold calls $10 hits an 8 on the turn calls all in on the turn, rivers the flush.
I lose $39.80 total pot $86.1
My chance to win 62%/ 70%
Time 3- $50 PL maniac to my left I limp with AKsp he raises to $3 I make it $10 to isolate him. He calls flop the A, make the mistake of checking 10 on the turn I bet the pot $28 he calls river is a 9, he is playing 109cl runner two pair.
I lose $55.8. total pot $115.1
My chance to win 98%/90%
Time 4- I turn top 2 pair with KQ, put maniac all in who is playing k5 he is drawing dead and by some miracle I win
I win $65 of my opponants money
Chance to win 100%/100%
Time 5- AA vs short stack with KQ he pushed all in for his last $5.5 and I was the only caller, he is drawing dead with no pair on the turn
I win $5.5 of opponants money
Chance to win 78%/ 95%/ 100%
Time 6- I dont know if this counts but I'm playing a $10 STG flop a set with 44 push all in after a big bet and two calls get called by TPTK who catchs runner flush.
I lose 2500 chip pot out of a total 8000 at the table
Chances to win 94%/77%
I have played 1199 hands at party poker without once having the nuts
I have flopped 4 sets in cash games out of 64 PP
What a shock I am down $210 at party poker since the change.
I dont know what made me think that party poker would be any better, the bad beats are still the name no matter what the blind structure.
