Casey Keller is a pompous prick, I hate him. I also hate the American team, and I'm american! Put that in your pipe! I think we suck and hope Italy wtfpwns us.

Why do you hate your own team? I never thought of Keller as especially pompous when he played over here.

I agree with Monk about it prob going to the main offenders but I do have a theory that a surprise team can pop through. The way I see the international scene is that the skill gaps between the top and bottom teams has closed up considerably. This means the individual skill of the top players can be countered by a well drilled team.

Problem all the largest international teams have now is getting that understanding. With clubs putting demands on players, longer seasons for the best players including Champions League etc mean it is harder for an international manager to work with his team. You only have to look at the problems our manager Sven has in putting out his best 11 for a friendly. He is having to make accomodations and promises not to play the best players longer than 45 mins make those games a sham. Hardly the best preperation for a competition like the the World Cup?

I def think a team like S.Korea, Serbia or even the USA could stage a surprise beating better but less cohesive teams. The fact a country like Greece went all the way in Euro 2004 proves it is possible. Personally I would love to think that if England cannot do it then maybe an African team could go all the way.

Having said all that I cannot see past ENGLAND!!!
