You could always just change to an History major of international studies major of some sort, from what I've seen and taken in MMW it appears they do next to nothing. Not easy to tough it out like a computer guy or a math/econ major like myself, but hey, I don't think GPA matters all that much later.

Went back to the Lucky Lady for another day session. I played really really well today. I didnt have a record day or anything like that but I am really happy with the way I played.

I started at the 1/3 games becaus I was 5th on the list for the juicy 5/5 game. The 1/3 game was beyond action. One lucky donk made for a really ugly start to my day.

Hand 1: I have KK in MP, I raise to $30. Donkey calls. Flop is Q108, he leads $30 into me. I push all in for $140 more. He calls. Turn is a J, river is a 2 and donkey turns over QJ for 2 pair. Donkey can hit his 10 outter on the turn but somehow my 16 outs miss on the river. Grr Down 1 buy in.

Hand 2: About 10 min later. I look down at AA, donkey raises to $20. I reraise to $75 he calls. Flop is 9910. He pushs I call, turn is a 7, river is a brick, donkey turns over pockets 7's for a boat, fuck me I love this game.

I played for about another hour at the 1/3 game and didnt win a hand. First 90 min no winning hands down $475

Finally get moved to the 5/5 $500 game which is playing like a Vegas game. Fast and loose.

Hand 1: I am the BB with AKh, Live straddle and 5 players call to me. I bump it $65 more. Short stack calls. I have played with him before and have a pretty good read on him. I think if has a real hand he repushs preflop. Flop is 1033, He pushs his last $100. I call and he has AJ, and villian is a little pissed that I have the gall to call him with A high.

Hand 2: Same villian from hand 1, who is now on tilt though he is trying to hide it. I limp with 78o on the button. Flop is 987, rock bets $30. This guy pushs for $250. I am prertty sure I have him beat but the bettor looks pretty intent. I decide to call and am willing to fold to a push, bettor folds and tilted player had K9, doesnt improve and just about blows a gasket. This guy is usually pretty laid back and a nice guy but he pretty much went off. He says that I should have folded that I had to put him on at least 2 pair. I think my read was pretty good. Two times where I made calls with the best hand so TFB.

Hand 3: This is one of the best hands I have ever played and it saved me a ton of money. I am the Button with K . I have played a ton of hands with BB, he is loose but also can be a tricky agressive player. I raise to $40, BB calls, so does a new lady in seat 5. Flop is J53 all spades. Lady leads $30, I raise to $130. BB calls and nearly beats me in the pot with his chips, lady folds. Turn is the , he checks I check behind. River pairs the 4. He checks again, I consider betting but decide to go with my read. I check and he turns over the . Not to many people can wiggle out of that trap and I saved myself a ton of money here with the 2nd nut flush vs the nut flush.Tthe way he called super fast I was pretty sure he had the on the flop, trusting your reads is a good thing.

Hand 4: I have 55 flop is 985. I check from the BB, New player bets $25, 2 callers, I check raise to $75 he calls. Turn is a Q. He checks, I put him all in for his last $175. He calls. Turn is a K, I turn over my hand and he mucks.

Totals for the day +339 in 5.5 hrs. I am very happy with my play. I didnt get frusterated over the bad beats, I kept playing my game and made a really nice comeback. These wins feel as good or better than the +$800 days.

I like it even better when I know exactly what they are playing. With how fast he put his chips in the pot I was 100% sure he had the naked . He is actually a pretty cool guy and were were BSing after the hand. He pointed to my chips and said you have that muhc behind you I have to call with the nut draw. Funny part is that there is almost no possible way he is getting all my chips on this hand. I would have folded to any turn or river bet over $50.

Well the other day I was talking with Mitch and joking around about how rare it is for me to put a bad beat on someone. Today got to do it yesterday.

Stopped at Oceans 11on my way home and played the 5/5 game for a couple hours.

1 good beat hand : Villian ($200) opens the pot for $20. 2 Callers, I look down at K . I reraise to $75. She calls other two fold. Flop comes 4. She bets out $50, There is no $220 in the pot and she has $75 behind. I push she calls, turn is river is the giving me the nuts. She shows QQ and mucks. As Xaston would say I'm a mathematical genious. This is one of the reason you dont buy in for the minimum, no way to protet your hand.

Other than that it was a terrible table, we got down to 7 players and the other 6 were all rock tight. So I made my exit.

Played at the Luvky lady 5/5 game I hada great start.

First hand I play. I call a $30 raise with 33, flop is 322. I check PFR bets $50, I call, so does the terriblr player in between. Turn is the 2nd heart. UTG checks, I check, PFR bets. River is a 6. UTG pushs all in. I call, pfr folds. Pushor had 45 and made the straight.

Hand 2: I am the button with . BB raises to $25, 2 full stacks call so I call. Flop is J105. I check PFR bets $75 leaving him $75 behind. I push, he calls with AA and doesnt improve.

Hand 3: Same villian as in hand 2: I am the BB with . Flop is J . I lead out $25, he calls. Turn is an off suit 9, gving me a double gut shot . I check, he bets out $40. I call river is the giving me the nut flush, I put him all in for his last $125 and he calls with .

Hand 4: I am the BB with 66. Player with from the other day makes it $40, his buddy calls. I call. Flop is 3. I lead out $75, PFR bumps it to $175 and his friend calls. I start the hand with $1300 and his buddy has me covered. I decide there is enough money in the pot its time to protect my hand. I push all in. PFR fold and says he had 1010. To bad that J hit to I would have take his last $300. His buddy who has been running super hot turns over and keeps threatening that he would call. I am really hoping he would. He ends up folding. The dealer showed the turn and river and I would have turned quads, I still think I had to protect my hand.

Hand 5: New player sits down, he raises to $20 UTG. 4 players call. I reraise to $120 with JJ. Villian pushs all in. Short stack calls. I fold Villian has AK and turns a K to beat 1010. Lucky donkey, almost every time I make that play I'm going to have AA or KK and call him instantly.

Hand 6: This is why I'm a donekey. I raise to $50 preflop with AA. Donkey from the previous hand calls, so does one more player. Flop is 1087. I lead $100. Donkey raises to $200, he has $200 left, this should be a freakin easy fold. I really thought he had a set and I pushed anyways. He calls with 88. I am a moron.

Totals are still good. $743 in 3.5 hrs. At one point I was up $1400 so it could and should have been better, not so happy with a good result.

I played again wednesday. A couple of friends talked me into driving up to Oceans 11. I played the 2/3 game becuase I wanted to play with my buddies and they didnt have the money to play 5/5.

First fun hand. I sit down at the table and first hand I see is 55. I call a raise from the button I'm the CO. Flop us Q54 rainbow. I check to the button who checks behind, damn it. Turn is a 7, MP who is short stacked push in for $65 or so. I just call hoping that Button will come along, he calls also. River is a 6, ahh crap now what. I check button checks, MP turns over 89 for the nut gut shoud, button had AK.

I rebuy for $100.

My friends both get seated at the other 2/3 game so I ask for a seat change. I look down at QQ on the button as I'm called to move games. MP raises to $13, 2 callers. I make it $60. Folds back short stack who pushs for a total of $63. I call and he turns over KJh. Flop is awfull for my hand , wow my 2.5:1 favorite just ran into a monster draw. Turn is a 9, river is a brick and I win.

Move to the other table and it is a really juicy one.

I am card dead for a little while, the first hand I play is against a CS and a new player. I limp with AQ, flop is Q53 rainbow, new player bets out $15, CS calls, I raise to $45, both players call. Turn is a 6. New players pushs all in for $120. CS calls for his last $20. I decide I have to fold though my instict was I folded the best hand. New player turn over Q10 and wins the pot and spends the next 20 min congradualting himself on how well he played it. Nh sir and by sir I do mean donkey.

Fun hand: I am UTG and most of the table has been live straddling so I straddle too. It folds around to me I look down at k5o and say that its a spicy one but check. Flop is KK5, bingo. I check hoping to get some action but it checks around. Turn is a 7. I bet $10 and get 2 callers. River is a 3, I bet $20 just hoping to get paid off a little. MP raises to $70. I push all in and he calls with 33. Drawing dead and getting there can be a bitch.

Nexh good hand for me: I am the button with K . I limp, flop is [10c], top pair straight draw and 2nd nut flush draw. CS bets $10. I call, turn is . I now am thinking I am probably on a free roll. He bets $20, I push all in, he calls for his last $100. River is a brick, I turn over my hand he show and mucks.

Decent day, one bad suck out and one slightly less bad one not described here. Still made more than one buy in +$250 in 4 hrs. Off to spend the weekend with mom in Nor. Cal probably going to hit Commerce on the way up.

Played at commerce for a few hours on the way to Nor. Cal to see my mom. The action is great but I do have to say that the blind structure at Commerce is worse than anywhere else I have played other than the Luxor in Vegas. Every game they spread is a 40x buy in. Normally I would not play such a shallow game but the players at Commerce set new records for bad play.

First hand I play I flop a set of 5's on a dangerous board, I check raise the preflop min raisor who folds decent first hand.

Next fun hand: I am the BB witg Q . Flop comes QQ8 with 2 diamonds, I check one player bets out $20, one player calls. Bad tilting player raises to $120. I raise all in, tilting play slams his chips in the pot, to call. Turn and river are both diamods, Villian turns over 8 . I actually had to double check my hand to make see if my 7 was a diamond thankfully it was and I win a $400 pot with a 7 high flush.

I spend most of the rest of the session card dead. I did pick up aces once, raised to $30 and flopped a set. To bad the one caller didnt hit anything, far to often floping a set of aces is an action killer.

Totals for the session arent great. At one point I was up almost $300, but I went cold and made a bad bluff at the end to piss of $40. +$119 4 hrs.

Today was pretty much a dream day playing 5/5 NL at the Lucky Lady. Lots of nice hands to report

Hand 1: I am the BB with . SB who is a total rock raises to $15. I am 100% sure he has an overpair. I have played with this guy quite a bit and he only raises big pairs. Flop is 8 7. He checks I check. Turn hits my gutty, [10c]. He bets $40, I raise to $140. He calls river is the . He checks, I put him in for his last $140 or so. He calls with QQ. I got some crap for this hand but I think I played my hand right. I only put in $10 with the worst hand and then the last $290 with the nuts.

Hand 2: This was a blind ass luck hand. I am the button with J9o, 4 players limp and with my tight table image I decide its a good time to try to steal the $30 in the pot. I raise to $35. Get 2 callers, dohh. Flop is AK10. Both players check, I decide to rep. AK. I bet $60 and get called, by a super tight player. Turn is a blank, he checks, I check. River is the Q. He checks, I bet $150 and he calls with AQ.

Hand 3: I am the button with 109s, flop is J83 rainbow. UTG who is a really bad player bets out $15. MP raises to $30. I call as does UTG. Turn is a Q completing my straight. UTg checks. MP bets $100. I call so deos UTG. River is a K. It goes check, check. I bet $125 and MP just calls with QJ. I might have been able to get more if I raised the turn but he is a good enough player that he might have gotten away from it.

Hand 4: I have 99 UTG+1. I limp, it gets raises to $25 by a $300 stack. I call Flop is 9 . I lead $40 into the raisor. He just calls, hmmmm two big hearts seems to make sense. Brick on the turn. I check the turn, I have been do this a lot of with sets, feigns weakness after making a weakish flop bet. Villian bets $100, I check raise all in for $150 more. He calls with AKh and misses his river.

Hand 5: I am the BB with Q7 flop is 227. I bet $25 and get called 2 ways. Turn is another 7. Cha ching. I bet $40 get called 2 way again. River is my Q. I bet $60 and get called by 55?????

Hand 6:Same guy with 55 from before. He starts the hand with $300. He raises to $35. I have AKh and call. Flop is K43. He bets $50. I call. Turn is a 3. He bets $50 again, again I just call. River is a J. He checks, I put him in for his last $150, he calls with KQ.

Hand 7: This kind of hand is really the kind of hand that makes me a winning player, where I see a lot of my friends who think they can play cant fold this hand. I am the Button with JJ. A MP player acts out of turn and raises to $30, the player in front of him decided to just call, and then his $30 raise is official. I just call so does2 other players. Limper right in front of PFR makes it $100 straight. Huh??? I realixe that when other guy raised out of turn it gave him the chance to limp raise. PFR calls, so do I. Flop is 622. I have an overpair but I know its no good. I check all in, and all in and I fold without much thought. Limp raisor had KK. The guy sitting next to me see's my JJ as I fold and it in shock that I folded. "The way you are running how can you fold." Of course the J hit on the turn but who really cares I knew I was drawing to 2 outs why piss of chips because I'm running good.

Totals for the day $1870 in 4 hrs, think $450 an hour is sustainable?
