Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.

i play anyhwere from 1:30-3:00. if i'm playing extremely badly i might leave even sooner... if i'm playing real well and have nothing to do i might play for 4.

My Avg. Session: 2h 16m (according to pokerchart.com)

Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

I have a fiancee. I handle everything: 1) It's very clear that poker is a JOB for me and that it's to be considered as work when I'm sitting down playing. So, I can't easily stop and be interrupted since she'd never do this if it were ANY other 'job'. 2) I set hours that I try to play every week consistently so it helps facillitate (1). This way, she knows when I'm planning to play and can plan accordingly.

As such, my sessions are all 2-4 hours...I try to make them all 3 though. I play 4-5 days a week for about 12hrs/week.

The key is to make her understand that it's a lot more 'work' than 'play'...otherwise you're screwed ;)
