I think I need to take a bit of a break from playing NL holdem ring games, even if it's just a day or two. It's my 18th birthday on the 26th and I have an exam coming up on the 29th so this week i'll be lucky to get 20 hours in, i'm not particularly bothered about it either, a break will be nice. I'm trying to get together enough money to move out of home, I initially had decided to get 6months rent + other expenses saved up in addition to my bankroll before I moved out, but that'll be something in the area of $12,000 which will take me a few months, longer than I care to stay at home for, so perhaps i'll only save up 2-3 months worth of rent and risk it.. i'd hate to have to move back home if everything goes to complete crap but my relationship with my parents is good enough that i can always move back home if i hit dire straights. I've worked my monthly nut to being about $2,000 AUD (about 1500 US), that will allow me to live pretty comfortably and also leave a bit of money left over for savings or whatever I want. Considering i've made close to double that this past month, i should hopefully be able to put $1000/mth back into my BR and keep that growing. This is all assuming i'm playing at NL50, my winrate will increase as I move up the limits and considering the amount of hours I put in each week i don't think i'll be at too much of a disadvantage. Just some things i've been mulling over in my head the past few weeks.
Thoughts? I know there are a few people out there who've moved out and are using poker to support themselves, so if any of you are reading this if you wouldn't mind dropping your 2 cents then i'd appreciate it
