Same situation, but this time the poker Gods tell you that you can choose any 2 cards you want, but they can not be paired. Your opponent turns over [6d]. What 2 unpaired cards do you choose?

No need to delay this any longer. Your both correct, although I think you lose a little with 89. I knew about the 1st hand, but was suprised about the JT when I heard that until I read why. Then it made perfect sense.

You probably thought AKs at first? Ya...you max the straight possibilities with JTs.
