Hand 1:
I have
[Kh][Tc][6h] in LP. Opponent (now in EP) raises the max and I call, together with one other guy, who usually plays weak-tight.
Flop:
[Qd][Th].
Both check to me. Since my read is that my opponent bets when he likes his hand, I bet the pot, attempting to steal it. Opponent calls.
Turn is
.
My opponent checks, I check, since I don't think I can make him fold.
River:
.
So now I have the nut flush, and my opponent bets $8 in a $25 pot. Do you call? I did, hoping to catch him with a straight, but he had quad Qs.
Hand 2:
I'm in EP with
[Ah][Th][7c]. I raise the max, and get two callers, among which the opponent in LP. His stack is $40, min is $60.
Flop:
[7d][6s].
I bet the pot, opponent calls (other caller folds). At this point I put him on a big draw.
Turn:
.
I decided to bet the pot again ($25). Opponent calls and is virtually allin.
River:[5s].
Check-check.
No surprise that I lost the hand. But it was a surprise how: my opponent had 3455, no spades.
Anyone try to play a smaller pot here, since there are so many cards that ruin your hand? If you're up against a player who has a big double suited wrap then you're an underdog here.
