Ok what is my move on the river? Check/fold or Check/Call seem to bet the only choices given the stack sizes.

Also, did I get too aggressive with this hand? I contemplated checking the turn, but put opponent on a draw and thought he would fold to a pot bet. Thoughts?

a read on villain is important here. solid winning player? chaser? does he show down the nuts?

if i thought he was chasing the flush, i would actually bet here, as a non-nut flush might check behind. if i thought he was chasing the str8, i might check to attempt to induce the bluff -- that's the only way you'll get any money out of him. if you really have no idea, just guess and go with one way. i actually like to get aggressive with made flushes so that i can make bluffs on flush boards later.

if he's tight, a nut-flush chaser, or a nut-peddler, i would check-fold on the river (in fact, i'd change my line entirely).

Thanks guys. The flop bet was overly aggressive. That's one of the things I'm trying to tone down from NLH play. Like you said though once I get to the turn I think the bet is the better play. Once the heart hit the river I wasn't sure whether or not I was ahead, but was pretty sure the check/call was the right move. He bet I, called and won with a Q-hi flush vs his T-hi flush. Semi-ugly play that worked out well.

Yeah, coming from HE, this is a lot less hand than you think. Also, I think the semi-bluff has to be made very cautiously--usually with position or else with an absolute monster draw and a little bit of substance (like AhKcQhTs I'd probably have to bet out).

You just get too much stack in this way, and it's difficult to tell where you're really at.

To be honest, I probably would have check-folded the flop on this one.
