Since we might actually have less discussions here than in hte LHE section, I'm gonna give this a shot.

I pulled this hand from another forum and was curious on what you guys think of this PF call... Good, bad, or ugly?

2 folds, UTG+2 calls, MP1 raises to $18, 2 folds, CO calls, Hero calls, SB calls, BB folds, UTG+2 raises to $112, MP1 calls, CO calls, Hero calls, SB calls.

4-1 odds is mighty tempting but you probably are dominated. I think you wind up with a better hand then al of the other 4 players way less than 1/5. An EP limp re-raise is always scary, he almost cirtainly has Aces or maybe AKQJ. What flop are you hoping for here (other than the obvious quads or straight flush)? I think the happy flops in this situation are few and far between. I'd lay it down.

I found it interesting that no one on this forum told him it was a bad play, they all said it was standard call in that situation.

Well, make it 9s rather than 8s and I think it would be a clear mistake to lay down.

As is, it's still quite a hand to lay down PF. I'm not really seeing just how you're supposed to be dominated. I guess I can really go either way, I suppose, with these pot odds and a clear AA.
