Read on the guy is that he's not great but nothing out of line really. He could easily have AA, AKxx, KQ, KK, QQ, a drawing hand, ect.

I don't like the reraise with the stack depth you're talking about (to 40% of stack).

I'm also not really wild about the check-call line against the kind of player you're talking about. I almost always think more like this: If I'm going to call (against someone who's very unlikely to re-raise), why not bet while you may have some fold equity? The exception to that would be against someone who's going to bet from way behind when you have an extremely strong hand. But here you don't.

I guess you could say that he might bet weaker hands than he'd call with, but I think if you're going to re-raise AA, you just have to fire a solid CB at it HU unless there's an actual made straight or made flush showing.

also, my mistake... i thought this was a 100 game not a 50. i still like the CB, although c/c works here, too.

Kuso, Ais posted, not gooper so I guess you are agreeing with him.

The reason for the check call is that I have the most information I believe about the prf's hand and when its checked to him last, he doesn't necessarily need a hand that is beating mine, at least currently. However, if any of the other players call, its almost certain I am behind. I do not plan on calling if anyone else calls.

If I CB, true I might get some folds but its almost certain that if I get called, I am in terrible shape while if I check call the LP player after no one else calls, getting nearly 4:1 ($26 into a $95 pot), then I should have enough equity vs his range of hands. Now if i check, LP bets and gets a call, well I'm certainly behind and drawing to 2 outs at best, maybe 5 at the outside chance (an Ace or the 5 pairing to counterfit KQ) and I can save my money. I might have nothing but running outs is someone has a set and someone has JT, i'm down to running outs.

As for the preflop reraise, the first raiser was a decent player so I expected him to reraise or fold and I would take my chances against a likely AA with the dead money in there. I didn't expect a call and then EVERYONE else to call. When that happened and I got that flop, I don't see how I can CB here knowing I'm very likely to be called at this point and if I am, I'm in bad shape.

he had QJT9 with a bd flush draw but it bricked out and I won. Heads up with him, I was a 55% favorite. However, if anyone else had called with something like 2 pair, i would have been between 19 and 23% to win depending on his side cards.
