I don't fold Top Pair with second kicker as much as I should.

MTT $11. I have 1650 and BB has 1625.

Blinds 20/40

I am in the CO with [Kc]

and limp along with 4 other players - I should have raised. I should not have played KQs in an unraised pot.

Flop 200 [Ks]

BB bets 200 and I raise to 600 BB calls. Now heads up.

Turn 1400 [9s]

BB check and I check.

River [7d]

pot 1400.

I have 800 left.

BB bets all in 775.

Now what?

Half my chips are in the pot.

This is why we play low buy in tournaments. Lessons are cheaper. Knowledge is expensive. You can only try to hold down the cost. Every hand is a chance to learn.

I need to really make myself watch hands I'm not playing, more often. I need to learn more often at other people's expense.

- I bet $50 - get one caller and one all in for $58. We call the $8.

River [3d]

I check, the caller now bets $50 - I figure he must have me beat. I muck.

Agree with me? Is betting when the King hit an error?

Sorry folkes - I switched games mid-way.

The second hand was a live NL200 game - still TPTK. CJ and I have been chatting about me playing that game since it is a little too tought for me but I enjoy it.

This hand is an example - this player called my preflop raise with [Ad]

which is loose. He figured that I would pay him off big time if he hit his hand. He did get my bet on the Turn when the King hit - otherwise he would not have gotten any money from me. I was not going to do a continuation bet at that flop.

Now, maybe Kowboy is correct that I should call this bet with the money in the pot but I figured that since I am prone to call a lot this player was not going to bluff with an all-in player. BTW, the all in guy had AK as well.

He would be bluffing into an empty side pot.
