So some hands from Sunday first. The 1/2 game at the V again, and again the game was soft as hell. As usual I am stuck $200 before I can win a freakin hand.

I limp in UTG in a straddle pot with . 4 other limpers and the Straddler makes it $25 he is a squeaky tight. I call, so do all 3 others and its 5 way to the flop. Flop is T , pfr best $50, I make it $200, shorty calls all in for $140 or so. PFR shoves, I was kinda hoping he had QQ and I could get him off it. He has AA turn brick, river 9. Shorty has QJ and hit his 6 outter OOSD, my 2 pair win the side pot which actually made me some money but $600 or so goes to the worst hand worst draw.

I limp with button make it $12, BB calls as do 2 others. Flop is JJ3r. Check check button bets $25, BB calls, so do I. Turn is my quad jack. BB instantly shoves for $130. I think for a couple seconds, pretty much just praying the button has AA/KK. This is one of the few times that getting greedy is fine. I call button mucks. BB has QQ well played sir.

I raise to $24 in my straddle with QQ get 2 callers. Flop is 832, I lead $50, one fold, shorty shoves for $12 more with KK, queen ball on the river, ship it to the lucksack.

Meh I raise to $18 with AK, get 2 callers. Flop is KK2 with 2 diamonds. I bet $35 and get 2 callers. Turn is a offsuit 7. I bet $150, on fold and the other guy CR all in for $100 something more, I call. River is a T he says " I have the nuts" and tables KT. SGF%$%@#$% $%@$@$%@#$!@#$!~$@

To the palms, tiny ass poker room. Shobute, Kenny, and Spank are already there. I am no longer really rolled for 2/5 but I decide to just buy in for $300 and play tight. Of course I get the worst seat in the house sitting in seat 1 with, Shobute in 2, Kenny in 3, Spank in 4 and 12er in 5.

I raise to $25 with Get 2 callers, one NIT who I played with a long time ago, and one awful Italian guy. Flop is 4 checks to me, I am not about to CB that flop into a CS so I check behind. Turn , checks to me again, I bet $65, both call. River is a brick. Check check I check behind. NIT has . What a shitty turn card.

I am down to $220 or so. I limp KK from MP knowing one of the BTPers is gonna raise and its the easiest limp shove ever. 12er on the button makes it $35, bad Italian guy calls, I shove. 12 folds TT though that it was small enough that the itialian guy might give me action with A high or K high but he folds.

So Monday pretty much just sucked ass. I ran like shit I did what I always seems to do which is get stuck $200 early, the only problem is I never made a comeback. I didnt flop a set in the last 2 days in Vegas and I didn't get AA. I missed just about every flop possible, I must have been 1 for 10 hitting pairs with AK/AQ.

I limp 67 flop is Q67 two diamonds, checks to me I bet $15, UTG CR to $45 with $90 left I shove. Turn is a K which is not a good card for me, river is another K. I'm now pretty sure I'm hosed, villian turns over 67 and chopping feels like a win.

I raise KK get 2 callers, a NIT and a CS lady. Flop is AAT, checks to me I check. Turn is a 7 I bet $25 CS lady calls. River is another T, lady bets $50. I fold

I limp from the button with . Flop is 877 checks to me I bet $15, semi decent local calls and does another player. Turn is a 3, I decide to limit the pot size and check behind. River is a J she bets $25, I call she has 9T.

I limp with KK from UTG limps around, 7 way to the flop. Flop of course has an ace in it. I check gets bet and callled behind me, I fold.

I limp AJ flop is 4 . Checks to me I bet $15, get called in 2 spots. Turn is a Q, checks to me again. I bet $45 only the local in seat 1 calls. River . Check, I check behind, he says "I got there: and tables .

I raised a bunch of times with AK/ AQ and pretty much missed every flop.

I raise get called by a guy who has no idea how to play. Flop is he bets $15, I raise to $60. He thinks for a min and calls. Turn is a black 5, he picks up $15 and then checks. I decide I am probably not going to get him to fold his pair and check behind. River is a J, he bets $15. I call and he has 77. On the river I'm praying he has some weird busted draw, I guess getting 10:1 I can afford to look him up.

My one decent hand with AK. I call a raise from the SB with AK flop is A76. I check and villian checks behind. Turn is a 6, I bet $20 he calls, river 9. I bet $30 and he calls with AK and we chop.

12er busted out of the tourney in 9th which sucked for him and me. I had 5% of him and my $2500 cut of him would have been huge for my BR. Really sick spot button opens, he is in the SB with 99 he 3 bets. The guy thinks for awhile and says "I'm not good enough to fold this hand," and gets it in with JJ. 12er makes a flush on the river but the guy has a bigger one with the . Final hand he has less than half the avg stacks some moron limps UTG flops a set, checks it and 12er turns top pair and goes broke really sick way to end.

We move over to the Bellagio after a nice buffet dinner that I got to pay for because of freakin CC roulette.

My first table is really really tight. I limp my BB with 68o flop is A84, it checks around. Turn is a 6. I lead $25 2 callers. River T I lead $40 MP mins to $80. I call he has AT. LOL well played sir.

I move to 12ers table which is much better than my original one. I get 43s and raise to $30 after a couple limpers. Button shoves for $51, everyone folds, I call. Turn a 3 and beat ATo.

I check my option with K9 in the BB. Flop is K72, Shorty shoves for $120. I fold he shows a 6, 12er said he would have called.

I raise to $30 Get 4 callers, flop is 2s 3 5s. I decide to rep and overpair and bet $100, one players shoves for $58 more. He has a set of 5's which puts me in bad shape. Turn is a 6 which gives me some outs. River pairs the board and his boat beats my 9 high.

The Ventian - $450 in 5 hrs.
Bellagio $-45 in 2 hrs.

GG online poker

I think this might be nearing the end of my poker days. I still enjoy the game in a lot of ways but there are a lot of parts that I don't enjoy anymore. I cashed out the money I had on AP even after the bad run I still ended up at 4 Pt BB/10 over 16k hands so not terrible.

I had a lot of fun with Shobute, 12er, Kenny and SpankHerPair of course I knew I was giving up a ton of EV playing against those guys when I could have been playing against the Vegas retards but it was a lot more fun. Sitting at a table next to Shobute I also realized another thing, I am a long way behind all of them in terms of poker skills. A couple of years ago I felt like I was one of the best players on this site, right now I'm probably not in the top 20. My first reaction was "I wanna play a ton of hands and catch up." While I was driving home it kinda hit me that I didn't want to. Instead of grinding $50 NL for $10-15 an hour i can make twice that working,and at the same time improving as a software engineer which will pay even bigger bucks long term. I am not good at doing stuff like poker as a hobby, I am a perfectionist, when I do something competitive I wanna be the best. BTP really inst what it used to be, it is not anywhere near as much fun or anywhere near as entertaining. The poke advice is almost unreadable at times. I think this also has had a large impact on the decline of my game. If it weren't for the fact that my journal is here I probably would have quit posting long ago. I have no idea what all this means for me long term. I am done with online poker, not sure if I am going to be able to stay sharp playing live once every couple weeks. I really want to go back to Vegas for my spring break but after that I might be done.
