Oh, so I bought my Aeron!



Tried out their chair (they mistakenly let me take the executive out instead of an employee's standard chair - the executive is chrome, only diff). Love it. The alternative is the Steelcase Leap, but I really like mesh, and after trying out the Leap that shobute is testing (he likes it over the Aeron) I'm happy with my choice.

Price tag is ($1440 incl taxes) but because I can play 8hr+ days and do them a bunch in a row (instead of struggling to do 6hr days), it's going to pay for itself <1month. Had to take a lot of convincing for my wife to understand that.

So, it was going to take 6weeks to order the one I wanted (custom colours, etc)...and that's not acceptable because that's 6weeks of costing me $$$!! So, I said I'd try another business, and they did the calling around for me...and then I found out that they did a recent price drop because of the CDN dollar, and this executive model was going to be basically the same price as the other business' more traditional model (the colours of which I HATE...so dark and boring), and I asked if I could just buy the one I borrowed!

YUP!

So, I just put the chair back in the truck, and went home

I want to buy myself a Finnish chair... the one where you basically sit on your knees..

my friend has one similar to this one and it's really really good for sitting on...
anyone tried this ?

Go look at the 2p2 thread on office chairs for inspirations...the aeron, IMHO, is the best of the best and SO worth the $$$. The knees thing would tire your back IMO.

Any idea if I can get one in Australia? I'd definitely be willing to pay 1k-2k for a really comfortable chair that's also good for me.

I just wonder if you can sit in it for 4 hours straight and 10hrs/day...

Roy: IIRC they ship everywhere...make sure you get it from an authorized dealer so that the 12yr warantee is valid. The service of GR (which is a hometown company) is amazing...
