Starter:
I recently read a book by TheUnknownPlayer (Angel Largay). (Nice read BTW.)
He discuses in length the motivation of players playing live and how one can exploit it.
Topic for discussion:
Now, I wonder if it is possible to identify from the behaviour (betting pattern, etc) different online player types and give them what they want (taking their money in the meantime).
Any idea? Do people come to be challenged? Do they search action?
My opinion: Most typical players come for the action.
So I think that probably TAG is not the most profitable style online, it seems that many player catch on what you are doing and don't want to give action. It has already happened more than once, when I was playing TAG, that people left me alone on the table

Can switching the gears be an option? So to say one tries to create a loose image during first orbits, then switches to a TAG mode, then switches again. Another idea that I thought of is playing very loose (40/20, 50/20?) preflop switching to TAG postflop. Loose preflop paly shouldn't cost too much and should help to create loose image, while postflop one should be able to exploit this image.
P.S. Hope it was clear enough. Look for your opinions.
