The real SuperBowl is today

Postby iceman5 » Sun Jan 15, 2006 10:10 am

Mark my words, the team that wins todays Indy / Pitt game will win the SuperBowl. Obviously Indy is the favorite, but Pttsburgh is the one of the most physical teams Ive ever seen and if they get a couple hits on Manning and Harrison, their timing will be thrown off.

Last game, Pittsburgh slowed Manning down but Roethilisberger was rusty coming off his injury layoff and he made several mistekes (INTs) that gave Indy short fields. Hes playing Pro Bowl football right now. Also, Marvel Smith, Pitts left tackle was injured and Indy was all over Big Ben which caused some sacks and misthrows. Smith is back and I look for a whole different ballgame this time.

Im not delusional. Indy is the best team in the league, but Pittsburgh is a team built to beat teams like them. They run the ball to chew up the clock and keep Manning off the field, they play great defense, put pressure on QBs and make them make mistakes and lets not forget that Pitt is the 8th highest scoring team in the league.

Im going to go out on a limb and say that if Pittsburgh doesnt turn the ball over, they win the game. Im taking the 10 points.

First of all
How was palalalalamalu or whatever his name is, pick NOT a pick. What the hell did the ref. see that I didn't.

Secondly, THROW the ball, steelers ran like 15 run plays in a row... say it with me now... play action.

Greatest shoe string tackle ever goes to big ben.

Manning can't win in the playoffs.

Lastly Vanderjagt's beauteous kick put the absolute biggest smile on my face.

If that was the Super Bowl, what a lousy year for football. Man, I don't think I've ever seen worse games for high stakes than these have been. Luckily, I can start playing golf again on Sundays. Lovely Florida.

the colts didn't need to go 94 yds. they only needed to go 50 - they have (had) a good kicker, and they're in a dome. oh yeah, they're the most explosive offense in football.

3pt lead, i am running bettis 3 times for the TD. just jam him up the middle and i expect a 13-yr veteran to keep 2 hands on the ball. even in the rare event he fumbles it's not like the defense is guaranteed an instant TD or anything.
