State Nicknames???

Everybody knows that Texas is the Lone Star State. Do the lesser states also have nicknames??? What about parts of the country?? The large sparsely populated area north of Abilene, Texas is known as the Big Empty. I always liked that.

Every state claims a nickname. They're all on the license plates. Most of them suck.
