Have we reached the long-predicted point in American politics where, due to the nonstop character assasination and negative campaigning on both sides, the people who would make the best candidates simply refuse to subject themselves and their families to the "campaigning" process?
I'd say 90% of the commercials I saw this weekend were campaign commercials. There were exactly two of them (one for Feinstein and one for Jerry Brown) where the candidate talked about why you should vote for them instead of why you shouldn't vote for their opponent.
