I dislike these programs more because I dislike large multinational corporations datamining me. I tend to use cards and numbers that are not mine, which means that some random person's profile (currently whomever has my alaska phone number from last summer) looks really weird because they shop like a normal family sometimes and like a steak, beer, and parton bachelor other times.

They are designed to profile shoppers so that they can better exploit your buying weakness. You may save in the short run, but the advertising machine will grind you down in the long run.
