I bet the answer will be found in the setup application in the wireless router.
In my router, I just connect to it with a network cable, and enter its ipaddress(192.168.0.1) and input my password, and make any changes that need to be made.
Check the WEP and the DHCP pages, and see if the MAC address is being found.
Also check the logs, there may be an answer there.
WEP is wireless encryption protocol
DHCP is the ip address assigning
MAC is the unique number of the hardware expessed in hexidecimal in this format:
xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx
Check the Internet options on the laptop to see if it obtaining the ip address automatically.
Also check to see if the internal wireless is turned on.
It would be in the settings options inside your networking connectoid in your control panel.
Just a few things to check.
I believe it is merely a setting that needs changing.
