I have like a million hands to base this on:

$100 NL games
Party - standard deviation - $112 an hour
Prima - standard deviation - $60 a hour

The major downswings really bother me and endup hurting my play. Also my bankroll is rather small right now...so for me, I'd much rather play at the lower devaiiation. Also...even though my deviation is higher on Party...my hourly rate is a little bit higher on Prima...

Look at the standard deviaiton post with piers and monk's replies..this will explain a lot for you. It helped me tremendously with this concept.

I only have the money right now to play Party Poker, so I will take the swings...

Like last night...lost 3 buyins and got hammered most of the time going in w/ the best hand. Very sad, but there is my deviation...must hit +2 St. Dev. up tonight. :)
