pokerstars FPP store upgrades

Postby Stelvask » Sat May 20, 2006 6:57 pm

For those of you who haven't seen, stars finally got some good electronics after dell decided they no longer wanted to be associated with a gambling website.

personally, i've got 116,957 FPP's, and i'll be cashing them in at 160,000 (probably take me a few weeks to get there) for the toshiba 50" plasma TV, and then 25,000 more later on for the toshiba HD DVD player.

nice of stars to finally get some good stuff on there. i'm looking forward to my new TV.

Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.

I have the same question as ojingo. I dont play at Stars anymore but I still have 31000 FPPS. I could get the $500 travel gift certificate for 30000, but it says "gold star" under the item.

Does that mean , I need to have 30000 points AND have to be a gold star member?

yeah... you need to be a gold star to get the gift certifcate. or a platinum star to get the stuff like the TV. honestly though ice, if you deposit 2k on there and play some 1/2 6-max, you could probably get gold star within 15 hours of actual play. not sure if it's worth your time just for $500 since you're not a fan of stars any more *shrugs* but it could be.

Also, once you get the higher stars, you accumulate FPP's at faster rates. at platinum star i get 'em at 150%. so if i play a for an hour 8-tabling 2/4nl, that's ~500 hands, which is ~250 FPP's normally, but under platinum star it winds up being ~625.

A lot of the stuff they have on there you don't need star status for, but you do for the better stuff.
