No Poker in West Texas

Postby Johnny Hughes » Sun Mar 26, 2006 8:09 am

Three of the people running house games quit. It is a pain in the ass to have poker players over to your house. I miss the poker but I miss more having a place to go where I know there will be a lively humorous discussion. The stock market gives me action but I am lonely for the people who play poker. Those are my only ways to gamble They are an interesting and fun group, better to be around than the Square Johns.

You can play Texas hold 'em legally in several states that touch Texas but not Texas.

Used to be a real nice card room in El Paso at the Speaking Rock Casino. Unfortunately they shut it down a few years ago but I have not checked recently since the poker boom whether or not they ever opened it back up. And I guess even if they have that would still be quite a jaunt even from Abilene
