Its starting to look that way, although I still think the Mavs win the next 2 games. I have no doubt whatsoever that the Mavs win game 5. Avery Johnson is going to ream them (Im sure he already did actually).

They always respond well to losses like game 4. Dirk had a horrible game and that almost never happens, although I think alot of it had to do with the damn refs refusing to call a foul when he has the ball. Hes getting mauled and they wont blow the whistle for some reason. Any unbiased Sun fan has to be able to see that.

In the past Ive seen the Mavs do exactly what the Suns are doing when they relied on running and gunning at a record pace. When they have a great shooting night they are alomst impossible to beat, but when they cool off, they go from great to good real fast.

If anyone wants a bet on game 5 let me know.

I think the current Suns have more firepower than the Mavs did, though (you're talking about the Kidd/Jackson/Mashburn 1-2-3 years right?) and a few more offensive options, in terms of having guys who can post up when need be like Diaw and Bell, and a bit of patience in terms of throwing the ball round the perimeter as they showed the other night. Still, they can be a hot and cold team, yeah.

Suns got the best of the calls in game 4 but it was such a blowout I don't think it would've mattered. I think I only spotted maybe 3 no-calls on Nowitski, and he got away with a foul on (I think) Diaw in the 3rd.

Inuries might have a part to play, too, with the Suns getting Thomas and Bell back all of a sudden they look a much deeper team, and Howard looked like he got hurt in game 4 too. Still think it could go either way, you'd have to say home court is looking slight favourite, though.

Pretty cool that more or less all the reasonable shouts for MVP are facing each other in the last four - Wade, Billups, Nowitzki and Nash. Right now it feels like anybody could win it and none of the teams is a big favourite....

Talk about taking over a game and dominating! Jesus. Dirks performance is one of legends. He has a horrible game and then just decides to take the team on his back and carry them. Amazing.

Considering the Suns are playing a 6'8" center. He needs to be doing that every game. Theres no way they can stop him inside.
