Memorial Tourny

Postby Lcplinfalt » Sun Dec 11, 2005 9:08 am

I am putting together a Fundraising tourny for a memorial to a police academy trainee who was killed in training when her instructors firearm discharged during a firearms training exercise in Sept 2005. I PMed Ice and he gave me permision to post about it here so I just want to get a feel for how many would be interested in joining this and how much of a buyin some of you would pay. I was thinking of going with $4+6 with a $1 or so of that to pay Poker stars. In addition to the $4 per entrant to the prize fund i am also going to send the winner a 500 piece Tournament Poker set (real clay chips not the cheap trash) A couple of other ideas I had as incentive if I could get enough players would be to send a T shirt from each forum to the highest finisher from that forum. Also possibly set up a Freeroll tourny for the Forum with highest turnout. (Of course with me fundin the prize pool it wouldnt be for very much) ANY help with ideas or just a hey i might join would really help me out. The website for the memorial is www.Taradrummond.com Thank you all

Thks guys when would be good for some of you to play?after christmas or new years? im still working out the particulars with Poker stars as far as getting the money for the memorial to the actual account. Some have suggested to me that i just set it up as a private tourny and have the winners transfer their winnings to me. I would never ask anyone to do that as it would open the door for someone to say i kept the winnings so i hope i can get poker stars to send the check to the fund itself. Ill have specifics by Tuesday or wedensday.

Let us know... If you do it on a weekend with enough warning time, I'm sure you can get 15+ people around here to play...

Between X-mas and New Years seems good.
