I have the pleasure of knowing many Conservatives who are not happy with the current state of affairs.

Remember when our leader said in his first campaign that he wanted to be a uniter, not a divider? And then set out to divide us even more?

I've said it before and I will say it again. Gilligan was the title character, but NOT the Skipper. Everything that went wrong was blamed on Gilligan. Same with President Gilligan. He's NOT the Skipper. He's actually clueless to what's going on under his "watch." We're losing rights, and happily giving them away.

What kind of government puts more harsh restrictions on its citizens while offering amnesty to those who willingly break the immigration laws? What kind of a country is this when those who broke and break the law openly flaunt our inability to protect our own borders, while the authorities strip-search my cat at the airport?

What kind of country gives its wealthiest citizens tax breaks by the bushelful, while it's middle-class is struggling to hang onto everything they have worked so hard for?

What kind of country spends billions of dollars on a war its citizens do not support? (Romans?) What kind of country is it that is run by its minority? One that is doomed.

Most "conservatives" that are so very vocal in their support do not understand that those in power do not give one good goddamn about them! These "conservatives" are being USED by those in power to further THEIR ends. These "conservatives" are moral, solid citizens who are just flat-out scared. They are afraid of being a minority, of being ovewhelmed by changes to which they cannot adapt, who fear pretty much everything. And their "leaders" are using them and playing to their fears. It's worked, beautifully, sadly. Those who hold power and wealth have managed to insulate themselves from any vagaries of market or political shifts. They've got the money and the "moral high ground." They have won. The 99% of the rest of us have lost. Utterly. Irrevocably.

I have a feeling the philosophy of those who are really running the country is "let them eat cake."

Let the Revolution begin.
