Help with computer speed

Postby Felonius_Monk » Tue Dec 06, 2005 6:58 am

OK so this is a dumb question.

I've got new-ish laptop with a fairly good processor and 512 meg ram, which means it runs reasonably well. I have some old games I like to play, such as Deus Ex and Unreal Tournament, pretty dated now (5 or 6 years old or so). Anyhow, my problem is that they're unplayable on my computer because they run insanely fast, even on the slowest speed setting. Is there any way I can make these games run at a sensible speed on my machine?

Any help greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Monk

Have you tried slowdownsoftware such asTurbo or MoSlo that can be found at I used Turbo IIRC to be able to play X-com: Terror from the Deep.
You might get some help at the forum at Home of the Underdogs, http://www.the-underdogs.org/ as well.
