First off, forget that Diamond Mountain (or whatever the name was) casino in Susanville that was mentioned in the other thread. A whopping 4 table games, a ton of slot machines, and no poker.

I don't have too much to report, as I only had the chance to play one session at the Hilton. Even though it was the weekend, I never saw more than 3 tables going at once. They had $2/$4 limit, $4/$8 limit, and $100 NL. I saw signs about 7-card stud, so I guess they spread that from time to time, but I never saw a table actually playing it. The "Poker room" really wasn't a room so much as an area off to the side of the casino, but it's on the quiet end of the casino, and I really didn't notice too much noise from the casino itself. The only noise I really heard was one guy at our table who wouldn't shut up for two seconds and one of his friends at another table who almost got into a fight (and did get himself kicked out of the poker room)
As far as the one session I played, let's just say that when you win two pots in 2 1/2 hours of play, it's not going to be a happy day. The competition seemed pretty soft, and I could have just as easily been up $80 as down $80. Since you're staying at the Hilton, they'll give you a coupon sheet that will get you an extra $5 when you buy in at a poker table (along with other coupons for their -EV games)
At the table I heard a couple of people mention playing poker at El Dorado - another casino. Can't tell you anything about it, but if you have transportation it might be worth checking out. The problem with the Hilton is that it's located a ways away from the main group of casinos in Reno, so you can't just walk around to somewhere else.
