Well, hate to even bring it up or post this, but I feel as though I must. I know BTP has been a refuge for former UPF posters, and the current state of affairs over there is ridiculous. Just see this thread:



Yes, that's UPFTechAssist pulling rank and actually flaming a new member. Well, I have always loved UPF but that shit is just ridiculous. So, I hope to bring what little value I can to BTP from now on.

I don't want to start a flame war on UPF, but yet I do. Sorry...but feel free to pile on UPFTA or myself!

Looking forward to seeing former UPFers and meeting new players here more often than I have in the past.

I've never seen a bunch of grown men (I assume you're all both grown and men) get their panties in a knot so fast and easily. That's the first interesting thing to happen on that forum in a long time. UPF has been dying a slow death for quite awhile, largely because the quality of the posters has deteriorated to the point that people now find PBG interesting. (just kidding)

I've been a member there for years and I always get a kick out of the fact that the most controversial threads almost ALWAYS have nothing at to do with poker. I swear that 90% of the posters from UPF are not there to share poker stories or opinions, but just for companionship. Maybe they're a little lonely?

Should TechAssist have done what he did? No way. But I'm sure he was tired of all the incessant whining.

Yeah UPF was a good start for me but BTP is a much better forum, even with some of the difficulties we've had lately.

This is great news for me. I was on UPF a few years ago and the site was a joke back then. It was like being in high school again, just a clique of a dozen posters who wouldn't talk to anyone but their own. This was when I first started playing online and I had a ton of questions but couldn't get anyone to answer a thread. They were too busy responding to the spam posts and giggling to themselves. I tried for a bit then moved on. What a surprise that the site has gone downhill
