First rebuy tourney shortly....any quick advice

Postby Pok 7's » Sat Dec 30, 2006 6:45 pm

Maybe the wrong section but AG gets a fair amount of action and I have about 20 minutes before it starts. Small buy in 3.30 rebuy 20K guaranteed, what's a good strategy for a rebuy like this?

I've never played a rebuy before. Thanks in advance

I know ED and H2T like to go nuts and just do anything to build a stack. Many times they need to make the final table to break even, but many times they do so this works for them. I do the opposite and play tight and just look for someone like ED or H2T at my table

PS - I don't play many rebuys.

If you dont mind putting in a few buy ins for a big stack and a chance to go deep, push any decent hand and keep rebuying till you get to 12k+. then just push any premium hand you get and fold the rest till the end of the rebuy period.

Then play poker after the rebuy period ends and always take the add on

Well I can't complain for my first one. I didn't have to rebuy had about 11K chips at the add on period (caught some good cards) so I just added on. Wound up going card dead later on in the tourney. Went out 447th out of 3700+ players for a whopping $29.50 on my $6.30 investment.

Thanks for the help
