I'm in England

So I'm in Oxford for the next 6 weeks with nothing to do except school, which is negligible, can any of the Brits point me to some things that I should do while I'm here?

Funny mistakes I made on my first day:

1.) Asking a guy in a cell phone store about buying a cell phone, apparently it's called a "mobile" phone, and if you refer to it as anything else, they will act like they have no idea what you are talking about.

2.) Went into a computer store and asked for a network cable, guy says how long, I say 10 feet. He gives me a blank stare for about 5 seconds and says "can you give that to me in meters?"

3.) Looking to the left for oncoming traffic when crossing the street, that could have been bad.

oxford is likely full of foreign exchange students now anyways...

My advise is to visit london (obviously because its a huge place with lots to do) and also brighton for a weekend - its a really nice friendly place and pretty big, quite alot going on.

I dont know Oxford, but I know its a big place so if your lucky it may be full of hotties

You'll need a travel guide. The best I've found are the Eyewitness books (DK Publishing), so I'd get their guide to Britain.

Cornwall/Devon - they're a bitch to get to so you'll need to stay a couple of nights
