OK, back at Empire for a full ten minutes, releasing the reload bonus. It's getting to the stage now where, with a straight face, I really couldn't swear to anyone that this site is not rigged.....

Suppose I shouldnt have bet the turn, but the fact they both had flush draws and.... grrrrr i just hate this site. The ladyluck player was abysmal and could have any two, the other guy was solid and thought he might call Ax with a middling spade.

I guess you either didn't read my response to your rant or chose to ignore it. Then I felt sorry for you. Because I told myself poor Monk he is just doesn't know the evils of the Empire. But you were warned so now all I can do is pity you.

I'm just joking Bro! But as soon as you can cash out leave that evil place and put your money in a site that is beatable.

One last time I am going to give an example of why it is so hard to win the low level rings at Party.

Picture this in your mind. You’re a great white shark swimming the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. 10' long and the baddest man eater in the gulf. You see a small poker school of a 1000 fish and rush in and eat until you have had your fill. Oh look! There’s another poker school of fish with 5000 in it. You rush over and gobble them all up. You’re starting to get hungry again. You’re big and your bad and no one wants to mess with you. Some fish even tremble when they mention your name in there classrooms (forums).

As your swimming around making all the fish your little fish bitches you see the mother of all schools. PARTY POKER flashing in green and gold. All you have ever heard is how easy this school is. How all the fish suck worst then any other school you have ever seen.

Your going to go own this school like your have owned all the others. You swim in making a big wake. The fish part then close in around you. As far as the eye can see nothing but fish. Little one, fat ones, dumb ones, rich ones OMG this is going to be toooooooooo easy!!!!!!!!

OUCH one of the little fish takes a bite of you, then another then another then another then another. You try to defend yourself but they are biting at your eyes, ears, nose and then they go for the throat. Before you know it 10,000 fish are eating away at you until you are dead in the water and nothing is left of your massive shark frame but a little cartilage.

There is a moral to this little story it's up to you to figure it out.
Kowboy

If I ain't sinkin', well I must be swimin' If I ain't dead, I must be livin' Livin' is the thing, that scares me the most And if I ain't sleepin', well I better be fishin' If I ain't anchored I will be driftin' But all and all, I'm doing pretty good, since I hit my third coast!

Just had a wakcy first three hands on my new table! Maybe I've been identified to take part in a large number of bizarre suckouts today, on both sides...

First hand got KK, raised the max (pot limit), 2 calls, flop J high rainbow garbage, i check-raise big, guy gets all in, he has set of 3s and i hit a K on the turn.

Second hand, have KQ, limp, win with 2 pair (nothing much exciting here)

Third hand, AA, raise 3xBB in EP, the whole world calls, flop comes 246, I bet pot, someone raises, fear a set but i'm pretty committed.. I call, he has a set of 4s and turn river come 35 for a split.

Right after, next table, inveterate raiser min raises in EP. I call on button with ATss. Flop comes A83 with 2 spades. Turn another spade, we are all in and he has KQss.

It's been an action filled night! Nicely up a few buyins.

WHAT CAN YOU DO???????????????

WHAT CAN YOU ACTUALLY DO TO WIN AT THIS SITE BESIDES HACKING IN AND REPROGRAMMING IT????????????

About 5 hands before this i lost $40 with K high flush against A high flush. Grrrrrr. Seen that about 5 times tonight too, not always me involved....

Anyways, thanks to a variety of wierd and wild hands, finished the night, i think, a tiny bit up, but i'll have to check. I really want to get this bonus cleared and back to sites where you dont see AA vs KK 2 or 3 times a night, and flush draws catching every other hand...

PS Nice little bit of verbal abuse tonight went to the gimp who went off on a crazy tirade against my "luck" when I called his all in (it was for about 25% of the pot) on the flop with QQ on a JT9 flop. He had JT and was much agrieved when a K gave me the pot. I explained to him that we were 50:50 or thereabouts on the flop, but the guy was having none of it. In the end I just decided to wind him up for a while as an alternative. Sweet. He left a bit later with his nose severely open.

On the plus side, at this loss rate, at least I will be able to cash $130 or so of the 200 bonus. Tonight seemed a fairly tame night for suck outs, however, I even pulled a few myself. Suffice to say the best hand on the flop won probably considerably less than 50% of the time. I strongly hope they crank up the suck out factor in the next few days just to make sure I cash a loss on my bonus, fingers crossed!

Monk,

I can fully sympathize what you are going through. I myself made a thread a few weeks back about the ridiculous beats that I kept on taking on Pokerstars. You probably remember it. I think I lost at least 15 PF all-ins in a row where I was at least a 50/50 and more absurd stuff of similar caliber. I thought it was rigged and still I have my doubts about it when I see the suckouts at such an alarming rate. I am trying to deal with it, knowing that we will still beat the games over the long run and have been doing so in the past.

Having said that, I really do think you should take some time off. Trying to release your bonus is fine, but if you are continuously getting sucked out on then you aren't really winning money even after your bonus. Although you might not realize it your play might be affected for the worse. Protect your bankroll at all costs and step away from the game. That's what I did.

I am sure you already know all this. But it can't be emphasized enough. The same terrible players will be there 2 weeks later. There shouldn't be any hurry to release bonuses or get back to even.

Thanks for your help. The reason I'm playing here at all is to grab the $200 bonus, and yes, it is a bit depressing to be working the 25NL tables when my usual games (as much as a year ago) are $100 buyins (and up to the $400 even at PLO). The bonus is only good for 14 days so I'd like to get it out of the way this weekend so I can move to playing sites I actually like. At 25NL i'm at least going to be up once the bonus is cleared, even with last night's run of garbage I was still less than a buyin down, though I agree I'm not playing my best, sometimes it's difficult to against crazy players. Still, I'd rather have a table of nutcases than a table of total rocks.

My record on 25NL is still really good; according to PT i've racked up $600 or so playing it on and off since december, and am running at something like 30BB/hr (although I have absolutely no idea how, as in that time I have been a consistent LOSER at empire and havent dipped into a lot of other games; I guess one bad session at PLO8 and one horror run in the SnGs cost me several hundred), so for freeing up the bonuses it's as good a bet as any. 2 decent length sessions this weekend and I should have the bonus and it'll be back to pokerstars, most likely, or try somewhere new as well.

There is absolutely zero chance of me losing my bankroll in this run as I won about $25,000 playing poker last year and usually play $100 buyins and above. I had to deposit $1000 to get the full bonus at empire anyhow so that seems a very fair amount to be playing these joker tables.

Fingers crossed for a better run tonight.

Apologies to all those who've read thru this nonsense only to realise this and the other thread have become my own personal outlets for whines and progress reports :) but you were warned....

I'll keep y'all posted how I've done over the 1400 hands required for the bonus... 400 hands so far and a scant $20 down.
