I have been doing poker for awhile. Spend hours and hours. I have software, pretty good actually, that folds all the crap hands and then notifies you when there is something worth while to play. I have a ton of kids and would rather spend more time with them. I make a really good living so 2-3 hundred a session doesn't matter much. I have read and reread the books and I regularly beat the software so it is a good move to get rid of it. Figure I probably won't go to the WSOP or win any truly significant money so I will take a few years off. Also, if you look at some of the stories of the regulars, I am not sure that that is a lifestyle I want to emulate.
Holdem is really fun. With these books and software, I have become quite good. But they say you spend time with what you love and I love my family more. I don't have to be chained for hours to a computer because I am 5 tabling and may miss a move. Believe me, a break will be good. Plus, I can help out a fellow traveler with a smoking deal on an education that cost me about $400.00 to obtain.
Yep, seriously. Got one bid of 25.00. Which almost the cost of the theory of poker. That is just one of the books. It is item 8734517993 and includes both software programs and 10 poker books. Theory of poker, killer holdem, killer online holdem, book of tells, harrington on holdem v. 1, caro's book of tells, pyscology of poker (misspelled but I have all the stuff boxed and ready to ship), low limit holdem... I have the whole list and links to amazon for each one on the ebay ad. About 300.00 worth of book and 150 worth of software. Oops, got another bid, now up to a smoking 26.00!
If you want it, take it. Maybe in a couple of years I will come back to it. I am sure it will still be playing somewhere and, who knows, it may even become legal to play online in the US!
