Excellent responses! just what I was hoping for, cheers.

My friend who's moving in is the technical expert and on his advice we're planning on getting 2MB broadband through pipex.net, costing £40 ($77) a month, which between 4 of us is alright.

Apparently there's no DL restrictions, though ULing is limited to 256k/s, which I am told affects the download speed with bittorrent (true?).

I'd never advocate piracy either, shocking business!

Then again I have a few friends who download everything/anything, personally actually buying something doesn't bother me, but there are those intangible things you can't purchase.

A grey area I suppose like, ahem, playing poker on the internet in the U.S.!
