Atlantic City?

Postby Cactus Jack » Fri Mar 03, 2006 7:16 am

Yesterday, I was invited up to AC by a customer who said he's got a home 30 minutes away, and I'm welcome to stay there until I get settled, or want to move on to Vegas. I was thinking of the summer in NJ and hit the road before the winter, if all things work out.

Comments, suggestions?

Cactus, I live in FL, and NY summers are worse... A ton of places aren't air conditioned, and the mass transit is just an abomination...

My advice with regards to AC is Stay at Borgata, play at the Taj, and don't walk around at night without an M-16...

I think I should skip this and go straight to Vegas, not passing Go, not collecting the $200 I might make, or the money I'd save on rent.

CJ...as far as vacationing... if ALL you're going there for is to gamble and nothing else, AC is nice... I actually like the Taj room better than about 90% of the other rooms I've played in Vegas... But, to LIVE... meh... Stick to Vegas...

Okay, so I never been to AC or NV but what is bad with AC? I mean, Vegas looks like paradise to me mainly becuase there's nothing more I love than rediculously unsociable hours and poker but wah gwan with the unversal AC hatin'?

How are the crime rates at both LV and AC?

I have been thinking about going there to spent my 4K bankroll. Going broke there and forgetting about poker for good sounds really tempting to me now.

Vegas is very low if you stay on the strip and away from Downtown... The biggest scam goin is the whole "hooker 3-some" thing, where one bangs ya while the other cleans you out...

AC is like going to a couple really nice casinos dropped in the middle of hell...
