anyone use DirectTV?

#1) Reception is great as long as you have a clear view to the southern sky. When it rains hard, I might lose reception for a min or 2 but thats it.

#2) I dont know off the top of my head, but its not alot. Theres not alot of extra crap liek a phone bill has. I think its just standard taxes.

#3) I used to have that package but didnt watch all the local sports channels enough so I cancelled it. I think its a good deal if you use it enough

#4) Those channels along with the national networks (ABC, NBC etc) are the only channlels broadcast in HD right now. DirecTV hints that almost everything will be broadcast in HD by the end of this year.

#5) Depends on how much TV you watch of course. I just have the basic HD package along with the Sunday Ticket which gives me all the NFL games every year. I used to have the extra sports channels when I used to watch alot of college basketball and I used to have a few movie channels but I found that they show movies that are very old and Ive usually already gotten them from Blockbuster so I cancelled the movie channels also.

#6) The only thing thats close is DIsh. I know 2 people who had Dish and switched to DirecTV but dont know anyone who switched from DirecTV to Dish.
