Tamarindo is pretty far from San Jose.

if you want to do the rainforest, I would recommend a few days at the beach and then a few days in San Jose. The San Jose Marriot is pretty nice, wth a great restruant. They have a Carribean BBQ on Wed or Thurs that is really good.

There are also two or three resort/casinos in the SJ area.

I am hoping to get down there for work again soon.

Punteranas or something like that is probably the nearest coastal town and it is fairly good size from what I know.

How much cabage you have to spend?

Ive heard 1 or 2 other people say good things about Tamarindo. Although I don't surf, but I'll definately try and do some more research into that area.

As far as spending $...It depends on how easy it'll be to get my $ off of pokers sites when the time comes . I really don't even know how much I will or won't need, from what I've heard you get a little more bang for your buck because of the exchange rates.

We still need to try and figure out how much sightseeing, etc. that we want to do whivh will obviously incerase how much we'll spend. I don't want to drop assloads of money but I'm figuring on maybe 2K-ish in spending $?

Since I've never been there and have no idea how expensive anything is I'm not sure if that's enough, too little, too much.

Ticket will probably be in the 400 range, the resorts are about the same as in the US and the food in the resorts isn't cheap.
