1.-Clemens? 2.Maddux?? I dont see it. ERA? WHIP? Opp. BA? Win % (I think Pedro is second highest of all times!

You want him with more wins? give me a break! The guy had an ERA of 1.55 and 300+ strikeouts and could only win 17games because he was with the greates Montreal Expos!

I will give you detailed carreer numbers on Clemmens, Maddux and Martinez and the numbers cant not stand comparisson ! (later).

K/BB, K/IP, Win %, WHIP, Opp BA... he is the active leader of all those K/9/IP where he is slightly behind of Randy Johnson (10.8 to 10.3). I think his win % is the best of all times! I am not sure because I saw some stat the other day that puts him on second. That is for the one talking about his 202 wins.

I am still waiting for stats that make me believe he is not by far the best active (and of this ERA) and who knows if the best of all times.

Clemems? I really consider him to be the second best. 3.12ERA compared to 2.72. Slightly higher whip (Pedro's 1.02 is the best by far!). I think he is 7th in win% vs. Pedro's 1st or second, opp. BA, pedro leads the active pitchers.

I dont want to hear about awards given. I want to hear about game stats. The numbers that nobody can alter. Not the votes of a bunch of guys whose motivations can/are wide.

Does anyone remember a few years ago when Barry Zito won the Cy Young? Could anyone in their right mind argue that the best pitcher of that year was Pedro Martinez?

Here is a link to a poll results. They say sandy Koufax is the third one!! For God's sake! He doesnt even have better number than Maddux, Johnson or Juan Marichal!! ERA? higher than Pedro's. BAA? much higher than Pedro's. WHIP? Wont even say...and all that in a time where the avg batting avg was much lower than now. Win%?? K/9IP?

Bring me the numbers!! I'd like to believe that BASTARD (he didnt join the dominican team and I kinda hate him now!) is not the best. But he is.

You might be right. I am not discarding your stats. I will check out the avg for the leagues and compare the difference. Runs/9IP vs ERA and so on. I checked the stats I posted by the end of the last season and Pedro's were better.
