I dont know if I'm just no lucky enough to be a tournament player or what but I can seem to play a tournament without getting cold decked or taking an awfull beat.

My last 3 tournies including a ongame PLO today

Tourney 1: I call a raise with 1010 flop is KQ3, check check. Turn is a 10, check, I bet 450, villian pushs me in for my last 550 in chips and turns over AJ.

Touney 2: I am SB with 109 co and button limp, I complete, BB checks. Flop is 10105, I check raise the flop and get pushed all in bu the co who is bad enough to limp 15% of his chips from the CO after everyone limps with 55. Why does stupid play like this get rewarded?

Tourney 3 Today ongame PLO. First hand I have . It gets raised to 75 in front of me. I repot for 350 and the original raisor pushs for 650 total. I call he turns over [Ks] . Flop is . What else would I expect other than running clubs. Final KO hand. I raise pot to 200 preflop with flop is 6. I only have 600 left I pot which is 475. Donkey calls turn is he puts me all in for 125 I have to call. He has A9QJ with no diamonds. river is a 10 and his gutty gets there bye bye to me. I love playing a tournament and not winning a hand.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way about tournaments. For whatever reason I just can't stand them., similar thougt process to Rhound's though, maybe I was absent the day they handed out the "luck" factor needed to win.

At least in a ring game I know the donkey probably won't keep the money he lucks out winning. Usually if they're at the table long enough they lose it all anyway and some usually works it's way back to us...somtimes with interest .

I think it was Barry Greenstein who said it best..."They're basically lotteries with better odds".
