2/4 NL

Dealt AKo in LP.

One limper. I raise to $20. Only the limper calls. He is a marked calling station.

FLOP $48
JK4 two flush cards

He checks. I bet $40. He calls.

TURN $128
JK42 two flush cards still

Opponent leads for $14.50. I know 100% he is drawing after this bet. I didn't doubt it for any second. I was gonna reraise to about $100..but then I was like hell with it, I don't want to see a river card as I can't win anything today. If he's gonna call, he's gonna have to call with his stack.

I raise another $210, everything he has.

He calls in 6 seconds (that's what it says on the hand history)

I say, "god please no flush card, no flush card"

He flips over QTo for the straight draw. 7 outs. River gives him a 9 completing the straight. He immediately leaves the table. The worst kind of fish.

I just laughed. It didn't even make me angry. What else can you do??? :) Hell..with the way the guys played me today, he might have thought his queen high was good. heh.

Extremely well-played imo. If you raise to $100 on the turn, you create a pot of $328 and are faced with laying down to a bet of $110 on the river, which I really hate to do (well, against a station, I will, but I still hate it...).

Also, I think these double-draw boards are something to keep very much in mind. There are a lot more flush chasers out there than there are straight chasers (thank God! because the straight chasers are imo more dangerous), so if he's got bluff in him, then it gets more difficult on the river.

that's what you get for playing a weak hand like AKo against a calling station. :D

nice read kenny, i can't make that sort of play. i always get scared the CS has KJ or something and chicken out. it's one of my big flaws, but i just can't get comfortable enough to put my stack in with TPTK.

awful luck though, and all that stuff. what site are you playing 2/4 on?
