whoops... that'll teach me

Postby stoiter » Mon Aug 08, 2005 2:06 am

had flopped 2 sets already in a 30 min session.. On both hands i bet the flop and won the blinds..

so when this hand came up i was determined to get some money out of someone..

$25 nl on UB

hero has $27
villian has $21.6 and has vpip of 50+ and pf Af of 2.5

hero has 2[c] 2[s] in CO

7 limpers see the flop of 5[d] T[s] 2[h] pot $1.75

2 checks, villian bets $1.75, 3 folds, hero calls, 2 folds....

at the time i remember thinking he most likly has A 10 and i didnt want him folding to a reraise... i decided he wouldve slowplayed a set of 5's or 10's.. or even 2 pair.. i perhaps should have been worried about his bet being a semi bluff with 34.. but that didnt cross my mind at the time.

turn 3[h] pot $5.25 villian checks... hero checks..

thats right... i still dont know why i checked here.. A4 and im cooked... a 4 in his hand and there are serious outs to beat me.. theres also now a flushdraw

i guess i was still hoping he would catch up enough to pay me off a bit

river 3[s] villian bets $5.25 ... hero raises to $12 , villian re raises allin.. hero calls....

funniy enough after all the action at the river i thought he would show me 55 or 10 10..

urrrg didnt i feel like a complete dick when he showed me 2 3 for a runner runner boat..

hehe i know that even if i bet the turn we still wouldve gone to showdown but i still played this terribly
