Who folds to this push?

Postby BadBeatMan » Wed Sep 28, 2005 2:25 pm

$100 UB NL

Hero(button) ~$350

Villian SB ~$30

I have K[c] J[c]

Everyone either limped or folded to me, I raise to $4,

Only the SB calls

Flop 3[s] K[s] J[s]

He checks I BTP he calls.

Turn is a brick

And he pushes with the last of what he has which is about the size of the pot maybe a little less.

He is obviously representing a flush, but he is REALLY short...so I don't believe him.

+EV to call?

I did call and he had flopped the flush, I caught a 4 outer on the river and filled up.

Here's another push that happened like 10 hands later. Who folds?

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (10 handed)

Hero ($364.35)
UTG ($93)
UTG+1 ($55.80)
UTG+2 ($85)
MP1 ($20.65)
MP2 ($72.90)
MP3 ($19)
CO ($28.65)
Button ($79.10)
SB ($64.55)

Preflop: Hero is BB with [Jc], [Jd].
1 fold, UTG+2 raises to $2, 6 folds, Hero calls $1.

Flop: ($4.50) [4h], [8s], [6h] (3 players)
Hero bets $4.5, UTG+2 calls $4.50.

Turn: ($13.50) [Td] (3 players)
Hero bets $13.5, UTG+2 raises to $27, Hero calls $13.50.

River: ($67.50) [6d] (3 players)
Hero checks, UTG+2 bets $51.5 (All-In), Hero???.

This guy is horrible and I have seen him raise A8o and go all the way with it, NPND.

First hand is a call, there was a good chance he was on a flush draw, and his stack was too small to fold.

Second hand, I would slow down on the turn. He called a pot size bet on the flop so he has something. I would bet 1/2 to 2/3 pot on the turn. He min raises your second pot size bet on the turn, that shows strength. He has to be really maniac for you to think JJ is good there. The way you played it, it's a tough decision. I would probably fold on the river.

Yeah, 2nd one screams two pair/set so it's an easy river fold. Nice win, bad call :)
