He has AA, KJ KT or K9. Or possibly a big draw like [Ac][Jc].

Or he has AQ or some such and is trying my play: "I really think I'm dead here, but I can't fold this yet so I'm going to reraise you one more time and find out where I stand."

With the button and the nuts, I just call that flop after his re-raise. Let him think he has the initiative and bet into you again on the turn. If he doesn't, you can bet half pot on turn & the rest of your stack on the river. He'll have a hard time folding because he hasn't bet into you so you could just be trying to steal.

I don't know what he had, but I wouldn't push after his raise to $45. You're gonna get his whole stack if you just value bet the turn and river b/c he's pot committed. At the very least you get some value. If he checked the turn and you bet $10 would he fold? I say no.

Of course, its real easy to critique when i can read in slow motion and didn't just flop the nuts in a big battle and have a timer going. I could have easily pushed too feeling he's probably got his hair up and will call.

with position, I don't push the flop because if you call, he will probably lead into you on the turn and then he will be pot committed enough to stack him. If you didn't have position, I think pushing is fine because you don't want to call, have him check behind on the turn and fold the river. Just call and get all in on the turn when he pushes or value bet it if he checks.
