Weakly played top 2, Party 200NL

Got a bit scared on this one due to the deepish stacks ...

6 handed, I raise 1 limper to $8 w [Ks][Jc] from the cut-off. Button, SB ($363 after calling), and limper all call. I now have $365.

I've been playing aggressively over the session, but never too far out-of-line, and have tightened up over the last 50 hands. SB is loose pf (55/8, 2% cold call), but seems OK post flop. He made a big call with TPWK to double up against a player he'd verbally identified as too aggressive beforehand.

So, four players to a flop of [Kd][Jh][3h], and $34 in the pot. SB bets $10. Limper folds, I raise to $50 (slightly too little?), button folds, and SB calls. We've both got about $315 left.

The turn is ([Kd][Jh][3h])[4s], heads up with $134 in the pot. SB now leads $30. This is where I get a bit unclear on what to do ... there's no obvious 2 pair, so it's a draw or a set ... if I raise a sensible amount, I'm pretty pot committed, but he's only calling if he's ahead.

I've represented a big hand here, and SB keeps coming ... is top 2 good enough to play for a 180BB stack?

If you just call (weak, weak, weak!), what's your plan for the river?

hes is prob on a str8 or flush draw and is looking for a cheap river. i do not put him on a set. I think since you have been aggresive if he had a set he would expect a bet and then pop a reraise. Top pair top kick a possibilty. I would push it all in. His lead out bet is weak IMO

I raise this to about $150 on the turn. His bet looks like a blocking bet with a draw, and with top-two, I wouldnt hesitate to raise in this situation. Be vary careful if a heart, A or 9 comes on the river though. If you are unwilling to fold on the river for your last $150, I would consider moving all-in on the turn, taking away his implied odds.

Your raise on the flop was good - I would have made a similar bet.

The only hand you should be worried about is 33, if he holds KK JJ I would probably be really surprised. I'm fond of moving in on the turn and if he has the set so be it, but I'm thinking it looks like a draw. I don't want this hand to go to the river with out getting my money in the middle now. QTh or even 56h could be possible, and AK KQ is definitely in the range of hands he "could" have, but you will come out ahead enough on the river from the turn to stack off if called, or take down the pot now. If the dubious player that has over played TP bad kicker is giving me action, I want to get the money in the middle now before a scare card hits.

I also raise a significant amount between 120 and 180$ because the pot is big enough now

his bet is a blocking bet that's it ?
I cried because I had no draw, until I met a man with no pair>>>MVSPORTS

Hmmm, seems I mistook "pot control" for "weak tight". Again.

Anyway, I called ... river blanked off ([7s]), he lead another $50 ... I min-raised to $100 (basically a value bet, just in case). He types "I have 2 pair, do you have trips?", and lets the clock run down until he gets folded.

Very strange.

next time in a similar situation raise strong on the turn and you will get his stack. top two, with that type of flop where only a few certain hands can beat you, is a certifiable monster. in a short-handed game, a lesser two pair or a blank king is probably what he held. push push push!
