I've been struggling to find consisitency in my game lately and trying to play a more aggressive, Super System, style of play. If anyone could analyze may play below and tell me their opinion, it'd be greatly appreciated. Critique, criticize, or commend please!

i might have dumped it preflop.....based on the chance that the original raiser might push. i like calling raises with suited connectors/one-gappers....i don't like calling re-raises with the initial raiser and an UTG limper still yet to act. also....your stack size relative to UTG limits the amount that you can win if you hit.

on the flop, i generally like raising with draws but i don't know....with this many players calling the preflop re-raise i feel like the action could easily escalate to the point where you do not have odds to go for the flush.

then again...if you knew these players would overplay their hands like this....then it's possibly a different story. if i had them both pegged as maniacs i might have gone for it.

This is one of the most horribly played hands Ive seen in quite a while when you look at all 3 hands.

I see why you are having trouble with consistency but how can you not beat these fools to a pulp?

1) You cant call a raise and reraise with 86s
2) When he bets $2 into a $14 pot, why do you raise? Just take the great odds to draw to the flsuh. If youre going to raise, then RAISE...but you cant raise this hand with the original preflop raiser still yet to act.
3) Once the fireworks start then its an easy all in call.

The commnents above are spot on - yes it was fishy until the 5th heart hit...

I'm guessing you lose money on a lot of hands played this way. Do not call a raise and reraise with weak hands. Do not even call raises with weak hands. That was just bad play preflop, independent of the result.

Your best chance to have consistent results is to start with a better hand than your opponent. The looser you play the better player you need to be, to get away from hands and to get good value when you hit. From what you suggested in your post, you're not there yet, and if you want to play that aggressive expect swings.

Great analysis Stoneburg! The rest of you are on as well. I played that hand badly enough to get lucky. It was at the end of a real long night on Empire filled with bad beats and frustrating players. I was 4 tabling and I wish I could say the 86s call pf was an accident, but I did actually see what I was doing b4 I made the call. Glad it turned out the way it did!
