Very interesting hand

Postby Twelver » Thu Sep 01, 2005 6:41 am

NL $50 on Empire.

I get dealt [Td] [Ts] in MP ($50.25). 1 caller ($42.75) to me and I make it $2 to go. Button calls ($37.25), BB calls ($16.55) and initial limper calls.

Pot = $8.25
Flop = [Qc] [Tc] [8c]

BB pushes all in for $14.55 initial limper folds...and it's to me. I just don't seem him pushing all in here with the flush. I thought mabe he had AQ with the [Ac], so I pushed all in behind him. To my surprise Button instacalls.

Turn = [Kh]

River = [8d]

Who has what and who won the pot? Also would anyone fold to the BB all in push on the flop?

Ok, my bad. I thought you just called the BB which would be the wrong play so I was reading it wrong.

My reply is still the same though, although now I like him on three hands: the made nuts Jc9c, AcXc, or 88.

Scar: He can't check raise here. For one if someone bets and he moves allin the other person will have odds to call on any flush draw etc. IMO the push seems like a straight because he's offering them the worst odds to call on a set or a bare ace of clubs.

Toke, your right. Excellent point. :oops:

I do like you analysis of the hand alot more then mine. The only reason I was saying the Button might have QQ is because I like to just call a raised pot with position and then raise somebody's continuation bet if no Ace or King comes. This might be a bad play and I certainly don't do it all the time. While it is true that you may not know exactly where you are at, it is nice to stack somebody who does not see it coming when the flop comes out AQx.

I think a raise if the button had QQ would certainly be likely but since it's a crazy hand I figured I would throw out a crazy guess.

With the BB being a short stack, hell no unless that guy is a super rock and has not played a hand the entire time you have been at the table.

Even then I still don't know if I would fold.

Ok I will make one more try at this, just for fun, even thought I don't think these are the hands they had, I do like these guessing games.

BB- [Ac] [Ah]

Button- [Kc] [Kd]

you loose to Kings full.

I'm sure these are wrong but I am feeling giddy this morning so I figured I would throw a real wild answer out there.

Bingo on button's hand Digital....that is exactly what he had suits and all.

BB had, believe it or not [Ad] [Jh]. So he pushed in with nothing but a gut shot on a flush happy board on the flop.

I guess i can feel good in that I got my hand in as the favorite on the flop...nothing else I could have done.

Wow, AJ huh? I can't believe people play that poorly in the $50 game. That has to be on of the worst Big Blind All In's of all time.

Too bad he didn't have a full stack and the button wasn't on a flush draw.

Ohh well, nice post. Interesting hand. I like it.
I am gonna throw up another one or two here a day or so and I think you should to. They are fun. :D
