I probably should have just folded on the flop, and saved myself $6. I Re-raised the minimum instead to see if he was serious about his hand. I though that maybe he had something like TT or JJ.

I asked him what he had, and he said he had AK

What do you think? SHould I have maybe limped UTG, and then re-raised big PF? I know people recommend that with AA or maybe KK. But QQ?

Thanks

first off, why are you playing short? Reload to $25 whenever you start to dip.

Second, with no real draw on the board and an overcard, you are in a raise or fold situation. I prefer fold as if he has a king, he likely isn't going away and its gonna cost you money later. If you raise, make it $9, not $6 so he can tell you are serious about the hand and if he does have something like 57, make him pay.

I really dont like the way you played this preflop. After this guy reraises, you need to figure out what you are up against. Smooth calling and allowing somone else to call behind you puts you in a bad spot. If you think he has AA or KK you can call, play your pair for setvalue only and fold if you miss, or you need to reraise and get heads up. I personally dont like limp raising with QQ it isnt strong enough when you get called IMHO. I will vs a maniac who I want to get heads up against. With three players in this pot and a raise and reraise and two calls there is very little chance that you have the best hand. Check fold after this flop, somone has AK, KK or AA. By letting the third player into this pot has cost me a lot of money in similar situations. You are trying to figure out what the orginal raisor had and before you know it the last caller is all in with a set vs both of your overpairs.

i missed the preflop reraise but I don't mind you calling. i dont want to be reraising it though. This is not the flop I am looking for with QQ against a reraiser because now AK beats you. fold the flop and don't even try to make a move as the only thing you beat is JJ.
