Two AK hands against same person (100NL 6 max)

Postby LuparFiend » Wed May 02, 2007 8:03 am

Villain stats are 27/11/0.91

Hand 1:

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (6 handed) from (Format: Bet The Pot)

BB ($68.25)
UTG ($36.30)
MP ($124.30)
CO ($98.50)
Button ($45.55)
Hero ($97.50)

Preflop: Hero is SB with [Kd], [Ac].
2 folds, CO raises to $4, Button calls $4, Hero calls $3.50, BB calls $3.

Flop: ($16) [Ks], [9d], [Js] (4 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, CO bets $10, Button folds, Hero raises to $30, BB folds, CO raises to $94.50 (All-In),

Hero ?????

Easy Fold? What do you put him on?

Please comment about my Pre-flop play. I think I should have re-raised PF to narrow down villains range, but for some reason I decided against it. The button was a fish with stats like 60/5 or something like that. I guess I didn't want to build such a huge pot with AK when the chance that at least one of them calls was good, plus me being out of Position the rest of the hand.

Hand 2, about 10 minutes later

Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (5 handed) from (Format: Bet The Pot)

BB ($68.90)
UTG ($70.90)
MP ($155.90)
Button ($198)
Hero ($100)

Preflop: Hero is SB with [As], [Kh].
2 folds, Button raises to $3.5, Hero raises to $12, 1 fold, Button raises to $39, Hero calls $24.

Flop: ($76) [6d], [3s], [7c] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button bets $72,

Hero ????

Hero should obviously fold, but what do you think of my Pre-Flop play? What do you usually do when you 4-bet and you have AK?

Be glad your opponents refuse to fold; if they didn't, you just might go broke.

1: hero 3 bets to 16! I fold to the push...you're chopping at best (or facing KQ).

2: you CANNOT just call the 4 bet here...it's push or fold...make your read and go with it...if there haven't been much 3 bet and 4bet push dynamics, I lean to fold.
