Trouble with AK

Ultimate Bet No-Limit Hold'em, $.50 BB (8 handed)

UTG ($22.45)
Hero ($43.65)
MP1 ($25.40)
MP2 ($22.65)
CO ($47.80)
Button ($26)
SB ($79.40)
BB ($25)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with [Kc], [Ad].
1 fold, Hero calls $0.50, 2 folds, CO calls $0.50, Button calls $0.50, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: ($2.50) [Qc], [Ac], [8s] (5 players)
SB bets $2.5, BB folds, Hero raises to $7, CO folds, Button folds, SB raises to $11.5, Hero calls $4.50.

Turn: ($25.50) [7h] (2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($25.50) [Qh] (2 players)
SB bets $5, Hero calls $5.

Final Pot: $35.50

Results in white below:
SB has 8c Qs (full house, queens full of eights).
Hero has Kc Ad (two pair, aces and queens).
Outcome: SB wins $35.50.

I found this one quite tricky to play, his min-raise on the flop felt a bit wierd since I'd already raised to $7 total and only had to put another $4.50 in to call. I thought it was worth the $5 on the river to see him. Villain was sLAG VPIP 29 PFR 5 AF 2.2. Any thoughts? TIA

I like the check the turn and call the weak bet on the river.

You slowed down real good, with a decent but ultimately second best hand. I probably don't fold at the flop ethier after the bet, weak raise, weak re-raise and try to get this to a showdown as cheap as possible too.

A bad player gets himself stuck a lot more with TPTK.

Agree with rdale. Good slow down and check/call on river.
