Trips are killing me

Postby TheMint » Fri Apr 29, 2005 5:20 pm

Ive been playing SnGs and just starting to get into NL ring games. Its seem like I'm running into an exceptional amount of trips. I end of with TPTK or top 2 pair and someones slowplaying trips.

Question1--What type of action sends up red flags. Generally whats happening to me is there will be some type of draw on the board and I read the calling of my pot size bets as the opponent on a draw. Then of course they take over the action on river and make a huge bet. I sometimes call if I am totally pot committed with 2 pair or better. Generally I make one pot size bet if I have TPTK and then check it off but it seems I'm having alot of trouble reading whether an opponent is on a draw or slowplaying trips--please help

Question2--how do you handle A/little---do you raise with them in late position when 1st to enter the pot. Do you chunk them in early position. How do you handle A/10 both early and late.

Please advise--if it wasnt for the beats Im taking with those trips I would be way ahead today, as it is I'm fighting to get even.

Well,

wait for the response of the experts but I fold to any action with a pair on the board. Think on how many ways you are beat. Regardless of position if I get much action in that board I will get out. But let´s see what the Pros say about it. I have been asking if I am being weak. This might be another good situation to ask....
